Local development : In order to assist local councils in project management, led by the National Coordination Unit of the Program, the ten Regional Coordination Units have launched an operation for the production and broadcasting radio programs on local development through community radios. These radio programs are produced with support from regional offices of the Communication is intended to promote the appropriation of council development plans in order to make them real tools for promoting social dialogue and leverage of local governance. To ensure the success of this transaction, the PNDP has involved mayors, sector ministries’ representatives and development experts. The topics covered are organized around a better understanding of the Growth and Employment Strategy, the content of a Council development plan, the importance of social environmental plans, the role of administrative authorities in the development process, etc... The dissemination of these programs spread throughout the year will allow municipalities to promote their development plans at local level.
