On this Tuesday, July 31st , 9:30 PM, Canal 2 International will be broadcasting its million viewers in Cameroon, Africa and over the world, an important round table of one hour and thirty minutes on the theme: "the role of council development plans (PCD/CDP) in the promotion of growth and employment at the local level.
Around the table, there will be among the panelists, Madam Marie Madeleine Nga, National cCoordinator of the PNDP, Isaac Ekeme, Officer in charge of Training & Capacities building of the PNDP, Flaubert Djateng, Expert in development and Coordinator of the "Zenú Network", also Mayors: Semme Noungon, first Deputy Mayor of the of Bana council, the Mayor of Bafut and the Mayor of Bafoussam II.
The trailer announcing this major event to the national opinion on the role of the Council development has been broadcast since Friday 20 July 2012 on Canal 2 International. This roundtable coincides with the recent publication of the presidential circular relating to the preparation of the budget for the financial year 2013 where the role of the Council Development Plan is reaffirmed as a tool for programming of public investments and allocation of resources. It will be noted that 2013 will mark the entry into effective implementation of the programmed budget, that is the new approach budgeting and implementation of projects on an annual basis, but now over three years.
Designed and scheduled by the PNDP Communication Assistant Manager, Mr. Joseph Célestin DZOKOU under the supervision of the National Coordinator of PNDP, Madam Marie Madeleine Nga with the institutional support of the Minister of Eeconomy, Planning and Regional Development, His Excellency Mr. Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi and Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, His Excellency Mr René Emmanuel SADI, the debate will be lively moderated by a living legend of journalism in the person of John Vincent Tchienehom.
The round table will focus on four main issues. First on the role of the CDP as a tool for strategic management of the council and secondly on its purpose to serve as a tool of public investments and budgeting program at the local and central level. Thirdly the debate will focus on the importance of the CDP as a tool for promoting growth and employment at the local level. Finally, the panelists will talk on ways and means likely to promote plans to capture at the national and international resources that are sorely needed failure in the House of Commons.

Beyond the nature of subjects discussed, one can say without mistaking that it will be a major television event that will play in a setting designed by the PNDP communication department and which reflects the rich heritage of the West while highlighting the achievements of the Program.
