Councils in the West region are actively preparing the second edition of the Western Councils Show, SACO, scheduled to hold from April 05 to 13, 2012. To this effect, MPs and Mayors of the West region, from all areas, had a meeting last February 10 in Bandjoun and had the fruitful discussions with both technical and financial partners, namely the National Community Driven Development Program(PNDP) represented by its National Coordinator, Marie-Madeleine Nga, and the Program of support to decentralization and local development (PADDL) represented by PADDL/GIZ West head. The ceremony took place in the Banquet Hall of the sumptuous residence of Fotso Victor, Mayor of Pete Bandjoun and host of the meeting.
In his welcoming speech, the Mayor Fotso Victor welcomed that the elected representatives of the West can thus meet from time to time to combine their efforts to improve the living conditions of the populations of the West. He thanked the Coordinator of PNDP, Marie-Madeleine Nga, for having responded to the invitation of the West CVUC.
The PNDP is the tool set up by the Government of Cameroon to accompany Commons in the ownership of the site (d) decentralization launched by President Paul Biya. The PNDP is currently in its second phase in its intervention before MPs and Mayors of West, Marie-Madeleine Nga praised municipalities in the West for the initiative of the SOCA and promised the support of the PNDP for the success of this activity, including support in the areas of communication and logistics.   
With regard to issues related to projects of the municipalities of the West, she advised mayors to promote their respective communal development plans to the about the diaspora, elites and the private sector. A kind of guest to explore other opportunities forfunding.
